Full Scholarship of Tillman Military Scholars, USA

Description
The Tillman Military Scholars program supports our nation’s active and veteran servicemembers and their spouses by removing financial barriers to completing a degree program of choice. The scholarships cover not only direct study-related expenses such as tuition and fees, but also other needs, including housing and child care.

A portion of all Tillman Military Scholars is selected in cooperation with 14 University Partner institutions leading the way in veterans support services on their campuses. These partners include: Arizona State University, Columbia University, Eastern Kentucky University, Mississippi State University, San Diego State University, Texas A&M University, University of Arizona, University of Arkansas, University of Maryland, University of Michigan – Flint, University of Minnesota, University of Oregon, University of South Florida and University of Wyoming.

Eligibility
  • Veteran and active duty military service members  Of both pre- and post-9/11 service; From all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard, including service in the National Guard and Reserve
  • Spouses of active or veteran service members, Including surviving spouses
  • Servicemember or spouse seeking assistance to pursue an undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate degree as a full-time student at a public or private, 4-year U.S.-based accredited institution

Application Procedure

The application will require responses to two (2) essay questions. Prepare your responses now and copy and paste them into the online application. Each response must be no more than 400 words.

The following documents will need to be uploaded in a digital (soft copy) file format:
  • Documentation of military service (only DD214 or a personal service record, i.e. Officer Record Brief, Enlistment Record Brief, Basic Individual Record, Personal Data Record, Performance Summary Record will be accepted)
  • Resume (including education, work, public service history, recognitions and awards earned)

Submission Deadline
March 16 at 11:59:59 PM PDT.
