Description
Each year, AGA presents one crystal award to formally recognize leadership or outstanding achievement in international government financial management. Individuals nominated must have been employed in government service at the time the work being recognized was performed. Nominees do not have to be AGA members. AGA chapters, individuals or government units may make nominations. AGA Chapters are limited to one nomination that must be endorsed by an authorized Chapter representative. The award will be presented by the AGA at its Annual Professional Development Conference and Exposition.
Eligibility
Selection criteria for the award will be generally limited to achievements accomplished in the preceding calendar year. The National Awards Committee will use the following criteria to evaluate and rank nominees. Therefore, for each key factor listed below, describe in specific terms, the work or contribution that justifies the nomination.

- Distinctive leadership and professionalism in the international sector (30 points).
- Significant contributions to the exchange of ideas between the United States and other countries in the field of international accounting, auditing, budgeting or other related areas of financial management (30 points).
- Major contributions to advancing government accountability internationally (20 points).
- Notable authorship and/or research in the field of international accounting, auditing, budgeting or other related areas of financial management (20 points).
