Description
This Scholarship fellowship award was provided since 1999 by Antonio Regueiro Díaz and his wife Jayne McKelvie.the Scholarship shall be awarded by the university of Auckland council on the recommendation of a selection committee comprising the Head of Spanish and two other academic staff from the department of Spanish.The Scholarship’s emolument shall be paid in a lump sum around two months before the Scholar goes overseas.
Benefit: The successful applicants will receive $5,000 towards research expenses
Eligibility
The Scholarship shall be awarded to a phd or other approved doctorate candidate enrolled full-time in the department of Spanish and who has paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, in a doctorate in the year of the award.
Application Procedure
Applications by way of a letter close with the Head of Department of Spanish Languages on 15 October in the year prior to the year of award. The application must include a curricum vitae, a description of the research project which also include information of previous research in the similar or related fields, with preliminary bibliographic data, progress of the project to date, likely outcome of the trip in question and an explanation as to why it is necessary to carry out the research in the chosen geographic locale(s). The application must bear a statement of support from the candidate's Thesis Supervisor.

Scholarship Award of Tu Horomata Scholarships For Master Program, New Zealand
Description
Targeted Maori scholarships are available for study at postgraduate level for students with high academic potential. These scholarships are known as Tu Horomata Scholarships (Horomata means pure or excellent). Victoria intends to use part of the Maori and Pacific Peoples Special Supplementary Grant and additional funding allocated by the PVC(Maori)to help retain and up skill Maori students at masters level by setting up these scholarships.
The purpose of the scholarship award is to increase retention and completion rates of Maori at Masters level or to encourage Maori into higher education and into subject areas where Maori are under represented.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Description
The Scholarships were established in 2012 and are funded by the Ralph & Eve Seelye Charitable Trust. The main purpose of the Scholarships is to fund postgraduate level Honours, Masters or Postgraduate Diploma students who have completed their qualifying degrees at another New Zealand University and are now intending to enrol full-time at The University of Auckland.
Up to four Scholarships will be awarded annually, of the value of up to $12,000 for up to one year.

The New Zealand-ASEAN Scholar Awards are funded by the New Zealand Aid Programme, the New Zealand Government’s international development programme. They are managed by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The New Zealand-ASEAN Scholar Awards recognise New Zealand’s close cultural, economic, and geographic ties with South-east Asia. They seek to empower individuals to contribute to the economic, social, and political development of their countries.
Eligibility

To be considered in this scholarship program, the applicant must meet the following criteria:
- be a citizen of one of the eligible countries and have resided in that country for at least two years at the time of application
- not have citizenship/permanent residence status for New Zealand or Australia
- not be married or engaged to be married to a person who holds New Zealand or Australian citizenship or permanent residence status
- not hold or have held a New Zealand Government or Australia Government scholarship in the preceding 24 months at the time of application
- not be seeking support for a degree programme already commenced
- not hold a qualification at a similar level or in a similar field of study at similar level (this means holders of bachelor degrees should apply for Masters or PhD and Masters graduates should apply for PhD study)
- be available to take up the scholarships in the calendar year for which the scholarship is offered
- hold a bachelor degree of strong academic merit that is relevant to the proposed post graduate qualification
- have a minimum IELTS (academic) results of 5.5 overall, with no band less than 5.0 and results to be no older than 24 months at time of application
- satisfy the admission requirements of the New Zealand institution in which the degree programme is to be undertaken, including that institution’s English language criteria.

For the purpose of encouraging postgraduate research at Victoria, the University is offering to students of its Chinese Partner Universities the opportunity to study the degree of Masters (by thesis) in political science, international relations, law, or business and economics at Victoria University of Wellington.
Up to four scholarships shall be offered, consisting of an international fees remission at up to NZ$18,000 which will allow recipients to pay only the equivalent of domestic tuition fees. The offer is for students about to commence a full-time, research-focussed Master’s degree with a thesis component of at least 120 points.

G B Battersby-Trimble Scholarships For Master and Ph.D Students in Computer Science, New Zealand
Description
A generous gift was made to the University of Canterbury by the late Dr G B Battersby in 1987 to establish a trust fund for the purpose of the advancement of learning in the computer field in New Zealand.
The income from the trust fund is added to an annual grant from Trimble Navigation N Z Ltd. The Trimble grant has been given in recognition of the long service provided by the late Dr Battersby to the University and to the computing profession.

Enrolled in final-year Honours, Master's or Ph.D level study at Canterbury, for advancing study in Computer Science that will be of benefit to NZ
