Fellowship Scholarship Special Offered For Government Officials Balkans' Countries'

Description
The Programme  aims  to contribute to the development of effective and efficient state administrations in the region by offering a tailor-made fellowship and training programme for highly qualified young professionals from the  highest ranking  state authorities of the countries of the Western Balkans.

The program will include as follow:

• Fellows begin the programme by attending a 2 - 3 months LANGUAGE COURSE to prepare themselves for work and life in the host institution and
• All 20 fellows are brought together for the first time at the 2 weeks INTRODUCTORY SEMINAR, held in Berlin and Potsdam, in  co-operation with the Potsdam Centre for Policy and Management (PCPM).
• The  TRAINEESHIP PHASE  follows, with each fellow starting work at host EU member state institutions: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic,  France,  Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. 
• Mid way through the traineeship, Fellows are gathered in Brussels for a 4 day INTERMEDIARY SEMINAR and visit of EU and international institutions. 
• The Programme is completed with a FINAL SEMINAR, held each year at a different location throughout the Western Balkans. Fellows attend a last set of trainings in leadership, conflict resolution, communication, negotiations and evaluation.

Scholarship Benefits:
During the Programme duration, fellows receive a monthly stipend of 1,500 euros from the European Fund for the Balkans  in addition to the  re-allocation fee. The costs for language training are also reimbursed up to the fixed sum of 1,500 euro. Travel, accommodation and any other essential maintenance costs relating to seminars and other compulsory events are also covered. The EFB supports the fellows with organisational issues.

Eligibility
Civil servants of ministries  and highest ranking state institutions  in the Western Balkan countries can apply (including entity and cantonal level government in Bosnia Herzegovina and regional level government of Vojvodina in Serbia).

Slovak Government Scholarship For Foreign Students, Slovak

Description
Establishment of the National Scholarship Programme for the Support of Mobility of Students, PhD Students, University Teachers and Researchers was approved by the Government of the Slovak Republic in 2005. The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic is intended to support mobility of foreign students, PhD students, university teachers and researchers to stay at Slovak universities and research organization.

Eligibility

• university students whose second level of higher education is taking place at a foreign university and who are invited by a public, private or state university in the Slovak republic to an academic mobility for a purpose of study in the Slovak republic;
• PhD students whose higher education or research preparation is taking place at a foreign university or institution and who are invited by a public, private or state university or external education organization in the Slovak republic to an academic mobility for a purpose of study in the Slovak republic 
• university teachers from foreign universities who are invited by a public, private or state university in the Slovak republic to a lecture or research / artistic stay in the Slovak republic
• researchers or artists who are invited by a public, private or state university, external education organization or non-government organization in the Slovak republic to a lecture / research / artistic stay in the Slovak republic

Eligible Country
European Union member states;other countries participating in the Bologna process; Belarus, Kazakhstan;Canada, Central American countries, Latin American countries, Mexico, the United States of America;Australia, China (including Taiwan), Egypt, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, the Republic of South Africa, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Vietnam.

Applications for scholarships are submitted on-line on www.scholarships.sk. The on-line application system opens latest 6 weeks before the deadline. The application form is accessible only after the on-line application system has been opened.
