The ASME Petroleum Division Graduate Fellowship, USA

Description
The ASME Petroleum Division Graduate Fellowship offers two yearly fellowship award that provides financial support to a student who has earned a bachelor degree in an engineering curriculum and has been accepted in a graduate engineering school. The ASME Petroleum Division seeks to ensure the vitality of the human resource base in the mechanical engineering field as applied to the petroleum industry and will award two annual fellowships of $10,000 to the most qualified applicants.

Eligibility
  1. The graduate student must be accepted for enrollment n a graduate degree program in mechanical engineering.
  2. Have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 system.
  3. Not be attending school as a member of any branch of the Armed Services nor is obligated to serve an enlisted period in any branch of the Armed Services following graduation.
  4. Submit an additional letter of recommendation from an ASME member who is currently employed in the petroleum industry.
