Description
International House has scholarships and bursaries which are available to assist those residents who may be in considerable financial need. Applicants need to discuss how they plan to be involved in the affairs and activities of the House and that they understand and appreciate the aims and objectives of International Houses in general and of the University of Sydney International House in particular.
All scholarships are awarded in the form of a rent reduction unless via prior arrangement with the Director. Fee reduction for board or lodging should not have any effect on Australian Government benefits and payments, such as Youth Allowance.
Eligibility
IH Entrance Scholarships are open to both male and female applicants. Scholarships grants are awarded on the basis of proven financial need and potential contribution toward the life of International House. Preference will be given to Australian applicants from regional or rural areas.
Application Procedure
All applications should be made by completing the relevant scholarship application form at the link below. These applications are treated in the strictest confidence and should be addressed to the Director. The application forms should either be emailed to ih.office@sydney.edu.au or mailed to 96 City Road, Chippendale, NSW 2008.
