The School of Pharmacy & Life Sciences is pleased to offer a number of merit scholarships to outstanding students who wish to study at the School starting September 2012 and January 2013.
The scholarship will cover:

• MSc Overseas Pharmacists' Assessment Programme (OSPAP) Merit Scholarships for courses commencing September 2012.
• Amount available: £1000 per award
• MSc Instrumental Analytical Sciences Merit Scholarships for courses commencing September 2012.
• Amount available: £1000 per award
• MSc Clinical Pharmacy Practice Merit Scholarships for courses commencing January 2013.
• Amount available: £500 per award

PhD Scholarship in Pharmaceutics or Environmental Chemistry At Syddansk Universiteit, Denmark

Description
This mobility scholarship is intended for students, who are not currently enrolled at or have not previously obtained a degree from the University of Southern Denmark. Applicants with a Master’s degree may apply. A PhD project defined in collaboration with one of the two supervisors listed below is an integral part of the application.

The successful candidate will be enrolled at this university in accordance with faculty regulations and the Danish Ministerial Order on the PhD Programme at the Universities (PhD order). The PhD candidate will be employed at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Southern Denmark with Ulla Gro Nielsen as the main supervisor and Kasper Reitzel (Biology) as co-supervisor. Eligibility
The candidate must have a strong interest in employing inorganic chemistry and experimental characterization techniques to solve environmental problems in freshwater biology. He/she is expected to have a Master’s degree in chemistry or a closely related degree with significant chemistry curriculum e.g. through course or thesis work. The applicant should be highly motivated, independent and able to work in an interdisciplinary environment. Travel to international research facilities and field trips are an integral part of the project.
