Novo Nordisk and Novozymes offer scholarships to support graduate training of some of the best students in protein science, biotechnology, bioinformatics, molecular biology, systems biology, translational medicine, microbiology, biophysics, pharmacology, medical research methodology, pharmacy, drug delivery and biomedical devices.The purpose is to allow selected students at universities in Denmark and Lund University to devote full time to their MSc thesis (in Danish: speciale).

Benefits:
The scholarship amounts to DKK 7,000 per month for up to 12 months at a maximum of DKK 84,000 for a one year MSc thesis project. The scholarship cannot be extended. The scholarship can be initiated anytime between 1 February, 2013 and 1 September, 2013. If the MSc thesis project is initiated before 1 February next year, the grant will cover the remaining period from 1 February.

Eligibility

• Students enrolled at a Danish university or Lund University at the time of submitting the application. The university supervisor must be associated with the same institution. Marks for bachelor project, if part of the curriculum must be at least 10 and weighted average for the bachelor minimum 8.2 (7-point scale).
• The student may spend some time during the MSc thesis project at an institution outside the university such as Novo Nordisk/Novozymes R&D labs or an institution abroad. However, master students performing or having agreements to perform their thesis work at Novo Nordisk/Novozymes cannot apply.

(Grant Scholarship) Research Grant In Medical and Natural Science By Novo Nordisk Foundation, Denmark

Description
Grants Scholarship are available to projects in Denmark, primarily within the fields of basic biomedical research, translational research and clinical research. Grants are available for equipment, consumables, and salaries for post-docs and technical assistance but not for PhD students. Funding for up to three years can be applied for. If funding is granted for more than one year, additional funding will not be given as long as the grant is active. e amounts requested must be between DKK 300.000 and 700.000 per year. Applications requesting funding outside these limits will not be processed

Sport Scholarship by AIT, Denmark

Description
AIT has operated a sports scholarship scheme since 1996 for students who have reached, or have the potential to reach, a very high standard of performance in their chosen sport. Under the scheme, approximately thirty full and half scholarships are awarded each year, up to the value of €4,800 over four years. Each scholarship is awarded for a period of one year, but may be renewed for up to a maximum of four years. Students pursuing higher study after the four year threshold will be considered for additional years.

Research Grant of Modern Languages At Helsinki University, Denmark

Description
The Department of Modern Languages conducts research on languages spoken in Europe and elsewhere in the world and studies literature written in these languages. The Department also contributes to the development of the general theory of linguistics, translation studies, language technology and literary research. The Department educates experts in these areas of language and culture for the various needs of society and functions as a prominent opinion leader in these disciplines within Finnish society.

The Department of Modern Languages, the largest department in the Faculty of Arts, has a total annual budget of EUR 10 million. It accommodates 14 disciplines with 2,400 first- and second-cycle students and 170 staff members. Each year, an average of 170 Master’s degrees and 10–12 doctoral degrees are completed.

Eligibility
Post-doctoral researchers are required to be proficient in Finnish. They must also have at least satisfactory spoken and written skills in Swedish. Foreign citizens, non-native Finnish citizens or citizens who have not been educated in Finnish or Swedish may be exempted from this requirement without a separate application.

Copenhagen Business school PhD scholarships in Strategy and organizing, Denmark

A PhD scholarship runs for a period of 3 years, and includes teaching obligations equivalent of ½ year’s work (840 work hours). The scholarships are fully salaried positions, according to the national Danish collective agreement. The scholarship includes the tuition fees, office space, travel grants plus a salary, currently starting with per month app. DKK 23.770 (app. 3,160 euro) up to DKK 28.964 (app. 3,860 euro) depending on seniority, plus a pension contribution totalling 17,1 % of 85 per cent of the base salary.

The Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, Faculty of Humanities, Copenhagen University, Denmark invites applications for an associate, alternatively assistant professorship in Modern Culture with special focus on Cultural Policy Studies to be filled by 1 August 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter.

An assistant professorship is a three-year, fixed-term academic position involving research and teaching. The person appointed to the post will be obliged to complete a course in university teaching devised especially for assistant professors, and is expected to be able to take part in all the activities of the Department, including examinations and administration. PhD scholarship in Safety Management in the Oil-Platforms At the Technical University of Denmark, Denmark

This mobility scholarship is intended for students, who are not currently enrolled at or have not previously obtained a degree from the University of Southern Denmark.
