Wehrung International Student Humanitarian Award (ISHA) recognizes outstanding international students from impoverished or war-torn areas, who have achieved academic excellence under difficult circumstances and who would be unable to pursue post-secondary education without financial assistance. Douglas Cohen Prize for Paediatric Surgery At Sydney University, Australia

Description
Established in 1985 by the offer of an annual donation from the Board of Management of the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children. The Prize is now sponsored by The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.

Eligibility
a candidate for the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in the final year of the program who has completed the final year clinical rotation. The Prize is based on the best essay by any student on any aspect of paediatric surgery felt appropriate by the student (1500 to 2000 words). The essay may be based on work from a previous year and students can apply for the Prize while completing the rotation or at the completion of it.

2013 Undergraduate Scholarship - International College Ambassador Scholarships

Description
A selection committee awards the International College Ambassador Scholarship to the study abroad student whom it considers to be the best “international ambassador” for The University of Akron. The award in the amount of $2,500 is given by The University of Akron Women’s Committee to help the student cover the costs of the international education experience.

Eligibility
This scholarship award is specially offered to undergraduate student, in good standing, who has been accepted for at least a semester-long study abroad program at The University of Akron or other accredited academic institution is eligible.
