European MBA Scholarships At Cranfield School of Management, UK

Description
The Scholarship awards are specially open to successful MBA candidates from the following countries;EU, Swiss, Norwegian and Russian Nationals and who want to pursue a full-time MBA at Cranfield School of Management.

The selection criteria for the scholarships will be based on both: Strength of the application: an applicant’s achievements, academic credentials and professional track record. The interviewer’s report: an assessment of the applicant’s communication and interpersonal skills, leadership and/or entrepreneurial potential as well as the candidate’s likely contribution to the professional and cultural make-up of the cohort and overall experience of the MBA class.

Scholarship benefits: the successful applicants will receive Up to £12,000 towards the tuition fees.

Eligibility
Applicants should originate from EU, Swiss, Norwegian and Russian Nationals

Business Leader Scholarship For Postgraduate Students at Sydney Business School - Sydney University, Australia

Description
Currently, there are twenty scholarships for local and international students undertaking one of the eligible single masters postgraduate coursework programs offered in semester 1, 2013 at The University of Sydney Business School.

Benefits: The scholarship covers 50% tuition fees and is tenable for 1.5 to 2 years full-time or 3 to 4 years part-time Masters degree.  To retain a scholarship, the holder must maintain a continuous enrolment during their degree from the semester for which they sought entry.  A continuous enrolment requires four units of study per semester for full-time candidates or two units of study per semester for part-time candidates.

Eligibility
  • The scholarship is available to new students who will commence their first semester of study with the Business School in one of the eligible Masters programs involving 10 to 16 units of study. (A list of eligible Masters programs is available during application). The scholarship is open to full-time international and full-time or part-time domestic students.
  • Only those applicants who have accepted a firm offer of admission to one of the eligible Masters programs in the Business School for the subsequent semester are eligible to be considered for this award. Current students who have completed study toward their degree and students receiving an offer of admission for a combined Masters program are not eligible to apply.

Research Award For Postdoctoral Level in Urban Mobility Analysis at University of Oulu, Finland

Description
This program is specially purposed to analyze the rich mobility traces captured by Oulu’s city-wide WiFi, Bluetooth and traffic infrastructure to understand better city-scale movement and develop ubiquitous computing applications.The University of Oulu is an international research and innovation university engaged in multidisciplinary basic research and academic education. The University of Oulu is one of the largest universities in Finland with 16000 students and 3000 staff. The University encompasses eight fields of study: Humanities, Education, Economics and Business, Science, Medicine, Dentistry, Health Sciences, and Technology. The fields of information technology, biotechnology, northern and environmental issues have been defined as special research focus areas.

Benefits: The selected candidate will work within the Urban Interactions research program. Salary will be given in an amout of 3200-3600 euros per month (before tax) depending on the qualifications.

Eligibility
This position mainly requires a strong mathematical background, experience with hands-on development and programming, and familiarity with urban mobility analysis, machine learning, and ubiquitous computing. Understanding of statistics, database programming, and symbolic computation are a benefit. Knowledge of Matlab/R is a plus. You will be expected to develop an analysis system that captures, infers and models individual and group mobility patterns on a city scale.: Must hold a Doctoral degree in a relevant field.

Scholarship Award - The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) for Student From Developing Countries, Switzerland

Description
The Scholarship grant is purposed to build capacity in the understanding and management of climate change in developing countries through providing opportunities for young scientists from developing countries to undertake studies that would not be possible without the intervention of the Fund.

Applications from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) researching topics with the fields of study chosen for the call for applications are given priority

The applicant must concern in the study programs below:
  • Socio-economic modeling related to climate change
  • Underlying science of climate change
  • Climate change and water

A Scholarship award will be accorded for a period of one year, renewable once. The award, and its possible renewal, is subject to satisfactory progress during the period of study. Term reports, signed by the research supervisor, will be expected to be submitted to the IPCC Scholarship Programme by the students. All students will be required to submit a final report.

Eligibility
  • Post-Graduate students at PhD level, accepted at a recognized educational institution to start studies in 2013, or currently enrolled on continuing PhD courses
  • Applicants must be younger than 30 years of age at the time of application
  • Applicants must be nationals of developing countries

International Bachelor and Master ScholarshipS of TIBET III Matching Funds Scholarship Grants,Germany

Description
Bachelor Scholarship
Frankfurt School of Finance & Management awards two scholarship grants worth approx. EUR 2640 each for incoming international Bachelor students to help them settle in. The scholarships are open to students who are not German citizens, are not currently residing in Germany and successfully passed the assessment procedure of the 2012 intake of the following Bachelor programs:
  • Business Administration
  • International Business Administration
  • Management, Philosophy & Economics

The stipends will be paid in six installments of approximately EUR 440 between September 2012 and February 2013.

Master Scholarship
Frankfurt School awards a total of six STIBET III Matching Funds scholarships for new international Master’s students in the following study programmes:

  • Master of International Business (M.A.)
  • Master in Management (M.Sc.)

The STIBET III Matching Funds scholarships comprises a cost-of-living subsidy of approximately EUR 440 per month from September 2012 to February 2013.

Dissertation Fellowship by Hewlett Foundation/Institute of International Education

Description
The Institute of International Education (IIE) is now accepting applications for the Dissertation Fellowship in Population, Reproductive Health, and Economic Development. Sponsored by The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Fellows will receive stipends to support tuition and research expenses*. In addition, Fellows will become part of a network of researchers and participate in professional development opportunities.

Eligibility
Applicants should be currently enrolled in Ph.D. programs in either sub-Saharan Africa, the United States or Canada, and should have completed their coursework by the start of the fellowship. Students in economics, geography, population studies, and epidemiology are especially encouraged to apply.

International Graduate Scholarships At Loughborough University, UK

Over 100 scholarships will be available in 2012/2013 to new self-financing full-time international students who are permanently resident in a country outside the European Union (EU).
